Kalpavriksha : The giving tree

Presented by Bharathakala Natya Academy and Third Eye Dancers, Kalpavriksha: The Giving Tree was a thematic dance production inspired by the enduring values of generosity, compassion, and selfless service. The event was held in support of the Mahalakshmi Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing shelter, care, and educational opportunities for abandoned children in India.

Drawing inspiration from the symbolism of the wish-fulfilling tree, the production explored the transformative power of giving and the impact that kindness can have on individuals and communities. Through expressive choreography, compelling storytelling, and powerful ensemble performances, Kalpavriksha encouraged audiences to reflect on their responsibility to uplift those in need. The production exemplified Bharathakala Natya Academy's commitment to using the arts not only as a means of cultural expression but also as a catalyst for social awareness and positive change.
